Jason White; GunBroker.com Unite
With MB Motorsports For Daytona
CHARLOTTE, North Carolina (Tuesday, February
6, 2007) - - GunBroker.com officials
announced today that Jason White and GunBroker.com will
switch to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series
next week attempting to make the Chevy Silverado
HD 250 next week in a truck fielded by MB Motorsports.
GunBroker.com is
the world’s largest online auction of firearms
and accessories. Founded in 1999, GunBroker.com
promotes responsible gun ownership.
Third-party sellers list items on the site,
and every buyer or seller must be legally allowed
to own firearms. Ownership policies and regulations
are followed using licensed firearms dealers
as transfer agents. The site is an informative,
detailed, secure and safe way to buy and sell
firearms and hunting and shooting accessories.
GunBroker.com is similar in operation to the
well-known auction site, eBay™, although
not affiliated in any way.
MB Motorsports has fielded a NASCAR Craftsman
Truck Series entry for a number of years with
some very popular drivers at the helm. NASCAR
Nextel Cup Series drivers Carl Edwards and Jamie
McMurray, American Speed Association veteran
Chris Wimmer, ARCA superstar Justin Allgaier,
and the late Kenny Irwin, Jr all had an opportunity
to pilot the No. 63 MB Motorsports Ford F-150.
Now, it’s White turn.
“I’m looking forward to Daytona
and rejoining the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series,” said
Jason White, a native of Virginia. “I’m
thankful for the opportunity that Mike Mittler
and his MB Motorsports have given myself and
GunBroker.com.
We’re looking for a good run at Daytona.”
“Today is a great day for GunBroker.com,” Dwayne
Gaulding, President of Motorsports Marketing
for GunBroker.com said. “We’re
continuing to explore our avenues in the NASCAR
market. We’re excited about this opportunity
with our driver Jason White and our new affiliation
with MB Motorsports. We’re hoping for a
positive run next week.”
It will be nearly four years since White, who
has 39 starts in the NASCAR Busch Series will
attempt to make a NCTS event. He has not started
an event since Kansas Speedway in 2003 in a truck
owned by Troxell Motorsports.
“It’s a good feeling getting back
in a truck,” White explained. “I
know it’s been a long time since I’ve
actually raced an event, but I’ve kept
up with the technology and changes within the
series, I wish I could get in that seat tomorrow.”
Following Daytona, the group plans to compete
together at Atlanta Motor Speedway (AMS) in the
American Commercial Lines 200, the third event
on the NCTS schedule. He will also attempt
to make his debut at the extremely fast 1.5-mile
oval.
Heading into DIS (Daytona International Speedway),
White has 11 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS)
starts to his resume with a career best finish
of 13th at Martinsville Speedway. He holds a
career best qualifying effort of 17th at Dover
International Speedway.
The Chevy Silverado HD 250 (100 laps-250 miles)
is the first of 25 events on the 2007 NASCAR
Craftsman Truck Series schedule. First round
of practice begins Wednesday February 14 from
4:30pm to 5:30pm EST. Practice continues on Thursday,
February 15 with an hour and a half (11:45am-1:15pm
EST) session planned. Qualifying is slated for
later in the day beginning at 7:00pm EST. The
race will be broadcasted live on the SPEED channel
beginning at 8:00pm EST with MRN handling the
airwaves starting at 7:30pm EST. The race will
also be available via Sirius satellite radio
channel 128 also launching at 7:30pm EST.
